Introduction

Hi. I'm Dan, and I've only recently started to hear about NOSQL. CouchDB strikes me as a good fit for some projects I'm involved in, so I'm looking forward to hearing from people with some experience putting to use.

How long have you been a NoSQL user/tinkerer?

Do you have a preferred NoSQL category (Graph Database, KV Store, etc)? If so, which one?

KV Store I suppose. Not deep enough to really understand the question.

Do you have a preferred NoSQL database? If so, which one?

CouchDB seems most appropriate to my needs. Yet to deploy it.

What would you like to see, do and learn while being part of BNoSQL?

What's got others excited, so I can do some catch up. I'd like to learn the preferred way to get up and running with small web-apps with offline mode / 2 way syncing. I'm assuming it's RoR serving CouchDB with some kind of middleware, but I can't wait for people to laugh at me for that. :-)
