Introduction

I'm a bit of an all-round geek and lover of all things technical. NoSQL is one of many areas that I'm interested in and I'm very keen to see it have more of a presence in Brisbane.

How long have you been a NoSQL user/tinkerer?

I've been using NoSQL stores in one way or another since 2008 (approximately 3 years).

Do you have a preferred NoSQL category (Graph Database, KV Store, etc)? If so, which one?

For me this varies depending on the problem. At the moment I'm finding myself focusing on Key/Value stores, particularly those that are highly-available and that don't break.

Do you have a preferred NoSQL database? If so, which one?

Yes. Riak!

What would you like to see, do and learn while being part of BNoSQL?

I'm keen to see NoSQL become more prominent and believe that sharing and learning through this group is one way to do that. I hope to get more exposure to other NoSQL options and hear about other people's experiences. I'm also looking to meet other interesting and like-minded people.
