Welcome to the"BOBie Cycling Club" GroupMeet Up Page. Being a member of this group page is FREE.
We encourage new members here to get to know us by joining us on our frequent and varied rides and by getting to know it's leaders and members during and after rides.
Other than signing an annual waiver you won't be obligated to do more than RSVP for rides and have your email settings set so that if the Organizers of the group NEED to contact you through Meet Up they can.
Simply put, our goal is to give cyclists the opportunity to ride together without having to worry about getting dropped while on a group ride. We do this by offering rides at different levels almost everyday of the month. We cater to riders from Beginner/Family/Casual (8 to 12 mph at 8-20 miles in length), to Intermediate riders (13 to 18 mph at 25-60 miles in length) up to Advanced and Endurance riders (19 to 25 mph at 60-200 miles).
The mindset of the founders of the group has spread to the current leaders and is constantly shared with the new riders that join. It is a delicate balance to offer rides that challenge improving riders without scaring away weaker riders but we do a good job of just that. This requires a true TEAM Spirit as well as many leaders posting varied rides that accommodate all the levels mentioned above. We are constantly watching for riders that exhibit strong leadership potential. Because new riders improve with more time on the bike we are always looking to help train "beginner" riders to be leaders.
The BOBie's cycling group is based inSouthern California's beautifulInland Empire. We are road cycling enthusiasts* who enjoy local and remote bicycle rides that are both fun and challenging. Our group is a blend of casual to intermediate riders, riding for fitness, fun, friendship, food (sometimes), and personal improvement.
*Enthusiasts: not a club, team, training clinic, or racers. Road bikes including tandems & recumbents are welcome.

Our rides are quite varied and are typically 20-70 miles in distance, with the occasional 80-100 mile rides. A handful of our riders have completed multiple Double Centuries. We are constantly looking to grow every level of rider in the group. This is the place we might tell you about which rides are popular on our calendar but the rides we offer are constantly changing.
We typically ride from Chino or Chino Hills, but also neighboring areas such as the foothill communities of Claremont, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, as well as Diamond Bar, Riverside, San Dimas, La Verne, Glendora, Covina, Duarte, Monrovia, to name a few.
Our REMOTE RIDES take us out to areas such as Irvine,Laguna Beach,Newport Beach, and south to Oceanside/San Diego but our reach is constantly growing.
Visit our CALENDAR for an upcoming ride that fits your level:
Our BOBie cycling group is led with a passion for cycling and the enjoyment of sharing it with others. We encourage our members to not only participate in the rides, but take an interest in helping us build our group by hosting or leading rides.
