Introduction
I'm a foodie, and I've decided that I'm a "boozie" too. There's a real art to making great drinks, and finding the places that have them! Of course, finding great drink specials is also wonderful.
What is your favorite drink?
It varies by occasion, but dry gin martinis are a favorite. Also REAL CLASSIC mojitos, which have four ingredients--plain rum, cane sugar, real lime juice, and mint leaves. Nothing wrong with more creative concoctions, they're just not traditional.
What is your favorite watering hole?
Hmm, hard to choose just one. Some I like a lot are Murphy's in Woodley Park, Tryst in Adams Morgan, Napoleon's in Adams Morgan, the wine bar at the Mayflower Hotel in Dupont Circle, and Nanny O'Briens in Cleveland Park.
What's your best booze story?
The one I don't remember! ;-) Doing SoCo shots with a cool drag queen in Austin, Texas while we judged a men's wet t-shirt contest is a close second, though.
