Would you consider putting up $5,000 to buy a bar? I'm thinking that we've got a great bunch of people in BOOZE CLUB - DC. What would happen if 50 of us put up $5,000 each (all equal members) and we purchased a bar? We could spend up to $200,000 cash for the place and still have $50,000 left over for operating expenses or improvements. We could improve the business and sell it, or simply keep it and get a good return on our investment. Hey, at $250,000, it would only have to produce $25,000 profit per year to yield 10% on our money. My guess is we could do better than that. What do you say? Oh, I forgot to mention that it would be mandatory for us to have an outside accounting firm chosen by the group and a management/bar staff chosen by the group as well. |

I'm considering moving BOOZE CLUB to its own website (in addition to Meetup.com which would remain free). In doing so, I'd like to offer value to its members by providing discounts at local venus, special offers unique to BOOZE CLUB members at local clubs (dinner/drinks combos for one price), special vacation packages, chat/im, photo and video uploads, event scheduling, a dating service, access to restricted clubs, and celebrity hosted events/private parties. As a BOOZE CLUB member you would receive a BOOZE CLUB membership card which would entitle you to its benefits around the globe. Would you be interested in this service, and if so, how much would you be willing to pay per month? Keep in mind that your membership, if used for business networking purposes, may be tax deductible. |
