is a cooperative-style group that brings together both you & your dog(s) to share a common passion with other owners. We invite you to come spend as MUSH time with your pup(s) out for a day of fun and get to know other pet owners to share valued info, tips, ideas & anything related to our love for the pup(s).

You do not have to own a dog to join this group. We have many events and activities in which anyone is welcomed to participate.

This group is truly “cooperative” in the sense that
- we value friendship-building & community camaraderie - true sportsmanship!
- members are expected to contribute as many IDEAS and help plan events as much as possible in our LOCAL communities.
- Always use discretion & practice proper etiquette to all BSD NET members.

  This is a dog club with friendly folks that enjoy safe recreational fun. Most of our events are moderate "DOG CLINICS" and for 2011 we will continue with "DOG CLINICS" when possible. A photo of your dog(s) is now required to join for the safety of everyone in the group. Members are removed when they are inactive either not logging or joining an event for a long period of time or "no shows" often. Any other questions feel free to contact directly the BSD BOARD.

  This is a group for people and their dogs to stay active and enjoy new experiences together emphasizing on the importance of canine sports. It focuses on variety, and is centered around anything dog-friendly like hikes, walks, community events, organized runs, special classes, dog park get-togethers, and volunteer work with our dogs. It is a great way for you and your dog to stay in shape, socialize, and participate in an assortment of fun activities. It's not just about keeping the dogs healthy and happy, but about keeping their humans healthy and happy, too. BSD looks forward to a life long relationship shared and most of all we look forward to having fun with our pup(s).

THIS IS A VOLUNTARY ADULT/DOG NON INCLUSIVE GROUP THAT IS NON PROFIT & DRAMA FREE - WE RESPECT EVERYONE & ASK WILLINGLY ALL members to participate as MUSH as possible. Most of these activities are geared towards the northern breeds YET all breeds are welcome to join in as long as the dogs (and owners) are properly socialized. Working dogs are happiest when they have a purpose and enjoy doing what they were bred to do. Please join us and help promote a healthier, happier & more meaningful lifestyle for your beloved canine companion. Preserve the pack, protect the bond and get into the outdoors for a healthy relationship between yourself and your best friend…Mushing is fun, both to take part in and to watch. Your dog will love it, you’ll become a team and you’ll get fit too! There are amateur running teams & we do this sport ALL YEAR ROUND 4 SEASONS - PLEASE SHARE LOCATIONS SO WE CAN ALTERNATE RIDING PLACES & IF POSSIBLE INVEST IN A FULL BODY HARNESS & ANY RUNNING GEAR. WE HAVE TUG LINES & MULTIPLE SIZED HARNESSES TO SHARE WITH MEMBERS.

Our pets are incredible animals whose passion for what they do is infectious with everyone they meet and their remarkable behavior demonstrates this every day. What will impress you most is their spirit. They are happiest when ready to MUSH, tug lines tight, leaning into their harnesses. And as the adventure unfolds, you come to bond with each dog's personality. We encourage every member to share ideas, suggestion & feedback!

Most Frequently Asked Question: Do we need any mushing experience?

Not all members or pups MUSH so ALL our Meetups are NOT geared to only mushing, when we meet, they are always some that prefer to walk instead. Most places we go to are 'new' so we dont know if the trails are 'mushable'. If its a repeat location where we have already mushed before then we usually mush there again but thats always an optional desire. We are a very informal group & we do our events depending on many variables such as location, weather, mushing gear & equipment.

PLEASE DO NOT use this group as a means for finding a Breeding Mate or as a sole resource for Selling Puppies. We do welcome notification of Huskies in shelters that are in need for forever families.
