B.O.T.A. Study Group Meeting

  • May 19, 2013 · 1:30 PM
  • Birmingham Masonic Lodge

For our May 19th Meetup we will be discussing the pair of opposites (Grace and Sin) assigned to Tarot Key 16.  We hope you will join us for this discussion.

Our meetings are open to the public and there are no fees or charges to attend.  You don't have to be a B.O.T.A. member to attend or have any prior knowledge of the Tarot to participate, although some familiarity does help one to understand the concepts discussed.

Builders of the Adytum  is a teaching and training Order which offers correspondence course instruction in all aspects of the Western Mystery Tradition.  This includes Tarot, Alchemy, Astrology, Qabalah and the esoteric use of sound and color for healing.

The Qabalistic Tree of Life is a symbolic representation of the "Whole Man" (i.e. Generic Humanity) and provides us with a "Map" showing us the way of return back to our unification with the Divine Source of all creation.

This "Tree" is actually upside down, with its fruit represented by Malkuth, the Kingdom, or the physical plane we perceive with our five physical senses.  The "Root" and source of the Tree is in the upper portion which represents the "causative" forces and states of consciousness which are the precursors of all physical manifestation.  The vast majority of mankind at its present stage of development is mostly unaware of the activities of our consciousness which take place in this non-physical realm.  Our correspondence curriculum provides the training and special instruction to enable us to more fully understand this mostly hidden (therefore often referred to as "occult") area of conscious activity which every human being participates in (albeit unconsciously) and begin to consciously direct these creative, causative forces which operate through every human being, thus bringing our life experience into greater attunement with the Divine Pattern of Beneficence.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
