BRIDGEMEN Work Gates at Pink Saturday! (2nd Shift)

It's street fair season and as usual, BRIDGEMEN is in the thick of it! This year, BRIDGEMEN partners with Visual AID to work gates at Pink Saturday!

Our responsibilities will be to greet guests at the gates and encourage the community to "Give 'til It Hurts!," by collecting donations. We'll also assist our Gate Leads with other tasks as needed.

The theme at Pink Saturday this year is "The Missing Pink" so we want BRIDGEMEN to wear enough pink for all in the gayborhood to see! Be sure to dress warm and show our community that BRIDGEMEN know how to be Mary and make a difference!

After our shift we'll hit the streets to celebrate all things pink! Sign up now because this event will fill up fast!

Saturday, June 29 | 6:30pm - 10:30pm

Eureka Valley Recreation Center, 100 Collingwood St.

**Meet in the lobby of EVRC at Volunteer check-in no later than 4:00pm. Mandatory gate training begins promptly at 4:30pm.

Visual AID encourages professional artists with life-threatening illnesses to continue their creative work, despite the challenges of their illness, providing them with grants, free art supplies, exhibition opportunities , career services and community. Other organizations benefitting from Pink Saturday proceeds include: AIDS Emergency Fund, Castro Country Club, Center for Sex & Culture, Healing Waters, Shanti, and Tenderloin Tessie.

I didn't have much to do; stood by to intercept anyone who got by security. I'm afraid I let a few people get by me. Oh dwell, I think it's all gonna be OK, okay? I was glad to be able to help and do something besides just partying. Wait a minute, I not really a party type anyway so I guess it really didn't make much different. It's all good.
