Put a ring on it? REAL TALK: Marriage Equality

What marriage equality means for us.

The Supreme Court has spoken. Now it’s time for us to talk about our future!

Join us for our next Real Talk forum to discuss what the Supreme Court decisions around DOMA and Prop 8 mean, how they will impact LGBT culture and our personal relationships, and what other challenges lie ahead in the fight for full equality—including health, housing, and employment disparities in our community.

Panelists include:

- Masen Davis, executive director of Transgender Law Center
- Stuart Gaffney, plaintiffs in the California case for marriage equality, decided by the California Supreme Court in 2008.
- Roger Doughty, Horizons Foundation
- Chris Stoll, National Center for Lesbian Rights

Moderated by Rebecca Rolfe, executive director of the LGBT Community Center and hosted by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and STOP AIDS Project.

This event is free and open to the public.

Thursday, July 11 | 6:00pm-8:00pm

Would prefer to hear more from the speakers and less from the audience. The speakers came up with some excellent thoughts and, because of that, it was well worth being there.

Hi gents! I really appreciate & value the depth of discussion on this topic. I have to work that night and regret that I will not be able to participate. I'm hopeful that the many opinions and the emerging equitable protected legalities of same gender loving marriages will soon be our world's new norm. Exciting to be alive and part of such significant social evolution. As always, my deepest gratitude for all of our brothers & sisters who have sacrificed so much of themselves to fight the good fight. Freedom. Love. Peace! Frankie "DA FISH"

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
