Todd Trexler Solo Exhibition at Magnet

  • Jun 6, 2014 · 7:00 PM

Join our host Jared at Magnet's monthly art exhibition reception, featuring a solo exhibition of legendary posters by artist Todd Trexler. This exhibition will feature his most memorable and well loved designs from the 1970s including posters for Sylvester, Divine, The Cockettes, Nocturnal Dream and more!! This is the first time in 40 years that these posters have been on exhibition!

PLUS! A special guest appearance by Billboard recording artist Amoray, performing a few of Todd's favorite Sylvester songs!

Todd Trexler, is a celebrated poster artist know for iconographic posters and hand bills featuring rising new stars of their time. Todd's posters of Divine were recently featured in the Divine documentary, "I Am Divine,"  directed by Jeffrey Schwartz.

Sadly Mr. Trexler passed away suddenly on February 9th 2014. He had just shown his first new work in over four decades as a part of the "Nocturnal Daydreams" show at Alley Cat Gallery in January of this year.  Join us for wine and cheese as we honor and celebrate his life and art.

Visit http://toddtrexlerposters.com to learn more about Todd Trexler and his wonderful, artistic contributions to the community.

It was my 1st Bridgemen event. I was hoping for some kind of spoken introduction because I didn't know a single person there. I spoke to only two people. I didn't know who was a Bridgemen and who wasn't.

Overall, the exhibit was delightful. I wish there were more images to view. Seeing Todd's images for the first time, I can see why there was such a buzz.

I hope to meet a few of you at another event.

I really enjoyed the meetup. The show was fun and I purchased a nice poster.
