Golden Gate Park - Habitat Restoration

BRIDGEMEN to the Rescue!

Please join us on Saturday May 12th from 9:45am-12:30pm as we help restore and monitor critical natural areas and native habitats in Golden Gate Park. Meet us on the front steps of The Conservatory of Flowers and then explore the grounds while assisting in invasive plant removal.

This is a rain or shine event so be prepared to "get dirty" either way.

- Dress in old clothes.

- Be prepared for sun or fog, dressing in layers helps.

- Wear sturdy closed toed shoes or work boots.

- Bring rain gear or sun block as required. A good hat helps too.

- All tools and supplies will be provided by Parks & Rec. but bring a pair of your favorite gloves if you own them.

- JFK drive will be closed to through traffic so plan your arrival accordingly.

We'll go to lunch together afterwards so think of someplace that you enjoy and we'll make a decision together.

Our hard work not only benefits the entire community but also helps improve and protect natural habitats on a global level.

Thanks to all of you who participated this morning. I had a great time and I know the Park & Rec dept appreciated our efforts! Look forward to doing it again soon.
