BRIDGEMEN 2nd Annual MLK Service Day: Ocean Beach Clean Up

Last year, BRIDGEMEN began as a handful of guys wanting to make a difference in our communities and look at how we've grown! Join us on our anniversary of service on MLK Day beautifying San Francisco’s very own Ocean Beach. Last year, very hunky surfers approached us to thank us for “rescuing” their feet from broken glass when they enter the water to catch some waves. It was a cold day but their kind words heated things up! Let’s enjoy yet another day of service, sunshine, and sweet men!

Location: Ocean Beach, meet near stairwell #17, across from The Beach Chalet Restaurant.

Please contact Nick at (415)[masked] x208 with questions and travel directions.

Lovely to see many new faces as well as faces we hadn't seen for quite some time. Thanks for bearing with us for such a record turnout!

The weather was excellent as was the turn out. The guys were friendly and welcoming and as my first Bridgemen event, I'd rate it a 5 star success.

Hi all! Just a brief (ish ;-) note. Last year, we didn't have any trouble with people not being able to find us, but, after all, we were a mere 5 people and, right now, we have 35 people signed up. For anyone who did not attend last night's monthly Meetup at The Lookout, I will be bringing printed Volunteer Waivers for you to sign as is required for participation with Parks and Rec.

Wear shoes you're willing to get sandy and clothes that'll keep you warm but, last year, they provided the gloves and garbage bags and we got to work fairly quickly and easily. The weather's supposed to be beautiful but, either way, Parks and Rec is committed to turn up, rain or shine.

If you want/need to bow out, for any reason, please do adjust your Meetup RSVP accordingly. It's super helpful for us so that nobody has to be separated out day-of to be awaiting latecomers at Stairwell 17. If you do run late, finding a mass of 35 30/40something menz on the beach shouldn't be too challenging :-)

Hi, John! The actual cleanup is scheduled to run from 10AM to noon. We may elect to socialise together after the event. Thanks for getting involved!

I have a retreat I must attend this weekend so I'll be out of town. Sorry I'll miss out because this was a great event last year and I had a blast! ~Frank

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
