STARFLEET, the World’s Oldest and Largest Star Trek Fan Association, invites Science Fiction Fans to beam down to +1 Gaming on November 2nd to have fun and raise money for the Children's Hospital of New Orleans during their annual Game Day. There will be board, video, and card games from all over the Galaxy including:
-->Artemis Space Bridge Simulator: Think you could survive Star Trek’s Kobayashi Maru? Then take command and issue the orders to your crew! Artemis is a game where you take the role of a bridge officer in a sci-fi capital ship.
-->Star Trek HeroClix : STARFLEET Officers will be on hand to give tactical training with Heroclix. Bring awesome Starfleet and Klingon ships from all eras of Trek to the miniature gaming table and relive the epic battles.
STARFLEET’s Game Day will also be part of a huge international celebration of the social impact of gamers with an Extra Life Gaming Marathon. Donations for the Children’s Hospital will be accepted the day of event, or join our Extra-Life Team “STARFLEET Delta Quadrant” at http://www.extra-life.org/team/StarfleetDQ.
Local conventions such as CONtraflow, CyphaCon, CoastCon & Louisiana Science Fiction and Costuming Festival have donated free passes for door prizes.
