Join intermediate female cyclists from across the Denver Metro area to unleash your passion for cycling, set and obtain goals, develop your riding skills, get in training miles, learn new routes and meet other women who share your enthusiasm for riding.
We meet most Wednesday nights at 5:30 and occasional Sundays. Wednesday rides start in May and end in October due to daylight limitations. Sunday rides are varied and members are encouraged to check out the free co-ed group rides that leave every Saturday from the Bicycle Village store. Inquire for more info.
Bike Type: Road Bike (Flat pedals are not encouraged).
Rider Expectations & Abilities: Comfortable with your bike, experience with longer rides & steady pace, can ride for 2 hour periods without breaks/stops, interested in practicing pace-lines & drafting, for intermediate to advanced riders, speeds ranging from 10-35+ mph, expect average pace of 14-18 mph, routes will be varying degrees of difficulty, willing to push beyond your comfort zone, rides will average 20-50+ miles depending on day of the week.
Check us out. We might be a great fit for your riding interests and abilities and we might not. This is a drop ride because we have limited time to accomplish our weekly goal of 25-30 miles before dark. But come challenge yourself and find some new riding partners.
Average Pace Defined - Average pace is based on the entire ride, which includes minimum and maximum speeds. Riding at a 15 mph average pace is a pretty steady and requires pushing yourself and pedaling pretty consistently with a slight resistance at all times. An 18 mph average pace is "working" it. Most likely as a group we will maintain a consistent 14 - 16 mph pace. If you have questions about your pace, please don't hesitate to email us!
