A Recap of the International CES: What’s next in Consumer Electronics

The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a global consumer electronics and consumer technology tradeshow that takes place every January in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Join Mindgrub CEO Todd Marks and COO Dan Cohen as they report their takeaways from this year’s event.  The two will summarize key meetings, trade show demos, and what to expect in 2014.  As 2014 is said to be the year of wearable computers, Heads-Up Displays such as Google Glass, SpaceGlasses, and Smart Watches will be covered.  Other innovative subjects are sure to include location-based services such as iBeacons, indoor cellular and WiFi triangulation, as well as new developments in embedded systems technologies.

    The more and more I see the push toward the Internet of Things, the more and more my inner tinfoil-hat-wearing security geek freaks out.

    But aside from those concerns, it's obvious there will be huge opportunities in that space. {And it's no surprise that Cisco, seller of network equipment, wants to see more network bandwidth consumed. :-) }

      I agree. The words "Open API for cars" and "Engine Control" did it for me, but the possibilities should outweigh the potential for abuse.
