Have you ever wanted to unlock the secrets of navigating with a map and compass? Then this is just the weekend for you!

We have done courses with Marshall Cale Navigation Training before and the course is nothing short of superb. Marshall specialises in providing expert navigation training for hillwalkers and the course is not only a huge learning experience but great fun too! In just 2 days you will learn to navigate safely and independently using a map and compass.

The course runs from Saturday morning to Sunday late afternoon.

The Hostel serves meals and pack lunches or you may self-cater.  Also there is good food and local Ale at the pub next door.

Travel 

Car sharing is recommended, also there is a good train service Euston or Paddington to Church Stretton.  Please ask for advice, or look at the document in More/Files at the top of this page.

Food

If you wish to self-cater the hostel's kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge so you should bring food supplies as there are no shops nearby.

Otherwise the Hostel serves meals and pack lunches (book in advance). 

Also there is good food and local Ale at the pub next door. (Marshall will book a table for Saturday evening - not compulory)

Nearest Supermarket is Coop Supermarket 10Km at Church Stretton, open[masked] Mon-Sat.  Narrow steep road.

Bedding is provided.
