Hey All,

we're planning a new meetup at the end of the month and love to get some input from you what you'd like to present or learn more about.

@Jason Anderson, I've been trying to grok this inversion of control technique you presented and try it out myself. Out of curiosity, how lean are your Backbone.Routes with this technique? Do the routes end up just managing application state and possibly model/collection retrieval? Or do they still manage the creation and attachment of views to the DOM?

The presentations were good, the show and tell after was low value but Lina neat.

A great exchange of ideas and projects! Next time, would love to see more detail (in terms of code/architecture) about the demoed products, and maybe more time for discussion around that. It's still always nice to see the cool things other people in the community are working on - would definitely attend again!

Hope to present a demo of my early pre pre alpha CMS based on node and backbone and uses the single page web app model.

I can talk a little about how we use backbone.js + d3.js at for our internal and external tools. I've also got a couple side projects that revolve around live editing of code that use (or will use) backbone in addition to other js libs

I vote for pair sessions followed by lightning talks

I'm at almost every single SFNightowls meetup if anyone wants to drop by and talk about Backbone. There are usually two meetups a month and dinner is provided.

I use Backbone to keep command history in a CoffeeScript REPL:

I've also been using Backbone in conjunction with d3.js and SlickGrid to link visualizations and data tables. Here's an example:

I'm trying to switch at an all-d3.js architecture though. Perhaps building something like Backbone that uses d3's helper functions instead of Underscore.
