2nd Annual Cruisin' 4 Crider

  • May 17, 2014 · 7:00 PM

Just like bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts, children and adults living with mental illness face the stigma of societal labels. Often labeled as outcasts, those with mental illness live in the shadows -- hiding their illness while enduring the constant pain of bullying and ridicule. Sadly, many living with mental illness never receive the help they need to live fuller, more productive and healthier lives.

Like heart disease or diabetes, mental illness is treatable. You can help those with mental illness find the courage to step out of the shadows and into healthier lives by taking a stand against stigma!

The event consists of:

Donuts and coffee at registration
Motorcyce ride to raise awareness about stigma
Food and live music
Much more!
All proceeds benefit Crider Health Center and will provide much needed services and programs to those in the community who need it most.

The ride starts at 1032 Crosswinds Court in Wentzville beginning at 9:00 am. The ride fee is $25.00 for the rider or $30.00 with a passenger. The ride includes a balloon release, food, music and more.

More info about where and when we will meet will be posted soon.

It was a nice ride through the country on a gorgeous day for a really good cause! On account of my personal history, this is a cause I can enthusiastically support. I hope that I can see more of my friends take part next year.
