The Exciting Four Beach, Cave & Skylight Adventure !!

This outing is broken up into  two areas.  Total distance about 7 miles &  rated at moderate to a little strenuous.

Bring layered clothing.  I'll have ponchos if there is some misty fog.  (This is also great for taking great photos.)

WE will shuttle from LL.  I'll have the directions to the hike start site later for those not wishing to car shuttle. **** L;Landing is 1 blk East of hwy 101 on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. just across the rd from the Ferry Boat Harbor.   Meet on the sidewalk between the Marin Brew co, & the 24Hr. fitness ctr. By the tables & small trees.   (Easy to find)

This is an amazing & variety filled adventure.

Start in a lush fern, Cypress, Douglas Fir & Bay laurel forest to our 1st beach.  (Wow ! No one there but us ! Then off along the cliffs of Tomales bay to our wine picnic lunch location cliff top looking North along the Western shore.  A view to die for !!

On to cross another beach & thru more forest to our 3rd Indian beach with Miwok  wood teepees.

Then back to our start point to get to the 4th beach location which is the highlight of the day.  Wide & beautiful mostly secluded sand beach that take us thru a rocky crevasse to tide pools  & many ocean critters.  From here we visit a large dune cave & hopefully a giant Mussel colony. (Tide permitting)

A short climb (optional) to get down into the Gorge cave & view the Skylight at the other end.  Cameras are mandatory.

OK:  Bring layered clothes, hat, wind jacket, shoes with good thread. Bring a lunch.

I'll provide: Jackets or hoodies for  some;  and gloves, water, juice, tea, coffee, soda, gourmet fruit & nut packs, energy & protein drinks, snacks, trail bars, hiking poles & Wine.  If you are bringing a backpack you may wish to bring a pair of beach sandals along.

NOTE:  It could be warm that day.   We also hope to see the huge Tule Elk on or near the trails.  It's a long day with  Daylight Saving time ;   **Optional super fun dinner will follow.

Cost: All this for 25 bucks.

And remember this:  A No Show puts you on probation for possible excommunication from the funnest group of people you will ever be with for one super day of adventure;

***I'll have an alternate meetup location(hike start)  for those who wish to bypass the L.Landing shuttle point.
