We are a group of skeptics with a heavy atheist 'bent'. If you don't believe in any supernatural deity or paranormal ability this group is for you. We meet once a month in Villa Park (next to Orange) in Orange County, CA on the forth Wednesday and Thursday (alternating).  We also have many other events - usually at least once a week such as field trips, movie night and Irish pub nights.

Our meetings are in our backyard (hence the name) and usually has a guest speaker or a topic which is posted on the meetup announcement.  We have many field trips and casual get-togethers just to socialize with other non-theists as well, and of course our great pot-luck summer and winter solstice parties.   

We have a voluntary semi-annual donation of $20 on Jan 1 and July 1 which includes your first meeting and a dinner.  

We serve dinner at our monthly meetings which are on the forth Wednesday or Thursday.  We request a minimum donation of $12 or $5 without dinner. Our members arrive around 6:45pm and the meeting starts a little after 7pm. Our meetings are where you can freely talk about your skepticism and non-belief without religious dogma.

Our goal: To support the atheist/agnostic/skeptic/humanist community with local meetings, potluck parties, and other social events. To spread the word that skeptics and non-believers are good and moral people and to promote secular values and the separation of church and state. We cherish humanistic values over any supernatural superstitions and encourage others to look at their worldview with critical thinking skills.
