I have always been a skeptic and cynic, but I used my evil powers to explain why every OTHER religion was wrong, ironic, yes? My journey to atheism took 37 years, being an evangelical, conservative, church going "normal" guy in the interim. As I started off the path, it first showed up as libertarianism, being a fan of Heinlein and freethinking in general. From conservative to Ron Paul was not too hard of a step, but the likes of Rothbard/Friedman brought me into the anarcho-capitalist ranks. Next I started listening to Stefbot on YouTube and I agreed with nearly all his thoughts on volunteerism and being an anarchist, EXCEPT his atheism, which I didn't agree with it all. Eventually, however, I went through a very hard divorce and excommunication and THAT got me reading Dawkin's and the rest is history. Today I'm a huge fan of Hitchen's and continue to read and study atheism thought and philosophy. I believe in questioning everything, esp. government and religion.
Atheist, in the 6.8 range on the Dawkin's scale, however I'm 7.0 when it comes to any personal deity as represented by any humans, esp, but not limited to Christians and followers of Islam.
No gods, no masters. Atheist, Freethinking, Anarchist with an anti-theist bent. I am fond of social events, discussion, books, and want to become better at showing others that faith is a bad way to know things and a dumb way to run ones life.
