IIG Awards Party honoring Dr. Eugenie Scott

Where: CFI  4773 Hollywood Blvd.  Los Angeles, CA 90027   (323)[masked]

When:  7pm tonight, Monday july 29, 2013  (Awards starts closer to 8pm after a short comedian show)

If you don't know who Eugenie Scott is, shame on you!  She is the Executive Director of The National Center for Science Education (NCSE) since 1987, and has been fighting to keep evolution in schools and creationism out. This organization was also responsible for helping win the  Kitzmiller v. Dover trial in 2005.

Make it a point to meet Dr. Scott in person tonight, she is a great skeptic and a fun person to chat with.

This is probably the best comedy show you will see in LA this week!  And, it's free!!

Presenters of the awards for 2013 include comedians Emo Philips (Trip Tank, Adventure Time); Kira Soltanovich (Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Hot Tamales Live, Here Comes Trouble); actor/comedian Ron Lynch (Adventure Time, Bob’s Burgers), Matt Kirshen (Late Late Show With Craig Fergusen, The Green Room with Paul Provenza), and others. Musical entertainment will be provided by comedian-musician Eric Schwartz. Also in attendance will be representatives of the winning shows, VIP guests, and supporters and Friends of the Center for Inquiry. Members of the press are also welcome.

Just added:  Richie Keen, director of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I will be leaving a bit on the early side from my hone in Villa Park.  Call if you'd like to carpool.  [masked]
