We have a debate on January 14 and February ?? which we need two or more debaters.
January Debate topic: Is there a more rational set of beliefs than what is found in the Bible?
February Debate Topic: Is this a Christian Nation?
Both of these topics are easy ones and the arguments cam be easily found in Wikipedia and google.
These are informal debates with very conservative Christians, so it's even easier because their points often have many fallacies associated with them. We have an ex-Islamic women who will be joining us for the January debate, so we'll need one more debater for that one.
You do not need any speaking experience or be a top-notch toastmaster for these debates. It's the information and arguments presented that's important. Plus it's fun and promotes the secular world-view. I'm sure some fence-sitters may be persuaded to side with the rationalists by watching both sides present their facts - and non-facts. "Don't let facts get in the way of shaping opinion" should be noted here.
