  • It's raining, plus I just learned this afternoon that this meeting is this club's annual potluck.

UPDATE: I've learned that there isn't a speaker this month, but instead the club is teaching all attendees how to choose, set-up, and use different types of telescopes as well as doing night sky observation and other activities. Dress warmly if you come, and I hope to see you there!

The Columbia Memorial Space Center is welcoming aspiring astronomers of all ages to join us for our monthly Astronomy Club meetings. These meetings will include a fascinating program about the night sky and a chance for members and guests to get together and talk about all things astronomy. These meetings will also provide information on how to pick the proper telescope, how to use a telescope, how to build a telescope and how to identify different celestial objects.

Doors open at 6:45pm and meeting starts at 7pm.
Meetings are held on the third Saturday each month from 7-9pm.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
