Troll 2

TROLL 2: A MOVIE SO BAD, THE DIRECTOR USED A PSEUDONYM

Let's face it people. Vegetarians suck. TROLLS. They suck really bad. When I'm trying to sit down TROLLS and enjoy my 5 lb Black Angus steak they look at me TROLLS with , their eyes green from too much salad. How is that NOT supposed to piss me off?

TROLLS

Therefore, friends don't let friends become vegetarian and let's make a movie called Troll 2, which in fact HAS NO TROLLS....Because the ONLY way people are going to watch this movie is if there is "TROLL" in the title. And let's make it LOOK like a sequel....but it's not REALLY a sequel. "2" adds box office draw guaranteed.

Totally.

Or, since this is an Italian film made in Utah, Scegli Tu!

To add further context, Troll 2 was an act of a husband's love for his wife who was annoyed that her friends became vegetarian. Makes me kinda choke up thinking about it.

.... And that is ultimately what Troll 2 is about. Vegetarians suck.

TROLLS

Diane's addition:

Menu: Spaghetti (meat balls & sauce included). I'm still deciding about dessert. I haven't had a chance to make ginger cookies this winter, & I'm seriously jonesing for them. So, yeah, probably the cookies.

New note for the same-old-same-old section: I'm forgetful, I know it, if I miss putting out napkins, salt, whatever, please ask for whatever you need.

Same-old-same-old about events at my house (only helpful to the forgetful or the newbie):

I'll email my real address to attendees Thursday night & post a comment soon afterward so you'll know when it's been sent.

Bring food only if you think you can't stomach what's on the menu or you're really eager to share some addition to it.

If you want to drink something besides water straight from the tap, bring your own beverage, preferably in a great enough volume to share (red wine, high-quality beer, and sparkling water are usually the most appreciated additions to the night). If you like your beverage chilled, please bring it that way--my ice maker doesn't work & I've no room in my freezer for ice trays.

You'll be welcome in at 7p. I'll plan to crack open the front door before then so you can freely enter, but don't be at all surprised by my inability to socialize if you arrive a little early (actually that's true at anytime, but especially true when I'm in last-minute-prep mode), just try to close the screen door (a little lift of the door, applied at the handle, usually allows it to latch), leave the heavy door just barely cracked open behind you, and make yourself comfortable. Please grab a glass from the cabinet and pour yourself any drink that's been made available.

I try to have dinner ready as soon after 7p as I can. We start the movie about 8p. Dessert is offered after the movie is over.

I need you to be bold about serving yourself when the food is placed out and to bluntly ask for anything that I might have forgotten to make accessible (if you feel that puts you off your manners game, realign by remembering this: just approximate your max serving by eyeballing a division of the quantity by the number of attendees expected--once everyone is served, you're free to take seconds). Please don't make me nag you to get food and please don't wait for me to start eating (it's oh so stressful to see the food that's out getting cold and icky while I'm still working on another dish). Maybe one day I'll be able to serve a meal with grace and precise timing, and we can sit around a beautifully set table, paying attention to all sorts of subtle etiquette, laughing at the old days when I forced you into barbarian behavior because of my ineptitude, but for the next decade or so, you'll really be helping me out by grabbing up the food and drink when it appears.

Nilbog is Troll, spelled backward, in Italian. But I think they really meant Gremlins as I recall the different car & oven problems. Anyway, it was another fun night despite the hassles. I do love the wit and goofiness contained in this group, and how Julian expertly feeds that fire with his picks, oh, and that reminds me of Grandpa Seth & his Molotov cocktail... and that reminds me of that very strange Italian game of "Grandpa says" they played at the beginning of the film. Oh, and I should add TROLLS

Ah, I took it to mean you couldn't get the key to turn in the lock, and when I referred to turning it, I meant the key. Now if that dash board light came on shortly after you beat that gas cap like a bad dog, I'm thinking you've no longer got a good seal there. Hm, btw, if you can't find a good fit (& non threatening one) for the problem in your owner's manual, I strongly urge you to get to a mechanic asap.

The movie was SO bad! Only a third of a star. But the fun was a ten star! Lots of things I'll never look at the same again -- corn on the cob, popcorn, green stuff - especially pastries, and chocolate pudding.

As of this moment my ability to come is hanging in the air! Me and my +1's vehicle has decided to stop running. We are having it towed tonight to a shop. If it can be fixed by tomorrow we can come! if not, then we can't, unless there is someone who lives in the Santa Clara area who can give us a lift??? (we live close to SCU) Thanks.

Julian, I was able to tamper with some of the cars like you asked me to, but not all. I got to Emily, Cindy, and Diane's cars, but not Dean's. Also, I'm not sure how much difference it's going to make that I vandalized Diane's car, so... wait, can they see this? Er, uh, nevermind.

Ha! For gay apparel, since I'm female, will a flannel shirt & jeans be ok?
