Hands on with AngualrJS!
AngualrJS is a great way to build small, dynamic applications and interface widgets for your website or web-app.
Bring a laptop - if you can have http://yeoman.io/ installed and code-editor ready to go it would be a big help. If you need assistance with installing these tools you can get it at the meetup - just try to be there at 6:00 if you need the help.
You can do some independent study on AngualrJS before the meetup - just be very careful that you are looking at version 1.2 as this faramework has undergone lots of changes over the last year.
About the group
We meet on the third Thursday of every month to learn about web site development with HTML 5 and all related tools and technology. We will generally focus on open-source tools and related topics.
The optional $2 fee covers pizza and drinks - we have no sponsors yet. Please chip in so we can all have some yummy pizza!
New users welcome
Please join us even if you are just getting started. There is not a better place to discover resources and get advice from more advanced users.
The topic this month:
Kern County Superintendent of Schools - [masked]th Street in downtown Bakersfield. We will be meeting in the technology center on the second floor. Note: the front doors to the City Center will be locked, you must enter through the doors at the opposite end of the building facing the parking garage. Signs in the lobby will point the way.

About Bakersfield HTML5
This is a new group in the greater Bakersfield area to help local residents master modern web development by meeting to share and learn from each other.
How to become a member of Bakersfield HTML5?
First create an account at Meetup.com. Once you have your Meetup.com account and have logged in, you can join this group, RSVP for the meetups and participate in the discussions we host here.
Looking for sponsors
We need a six-month listing on meetup.com to promote the group. If you would like to sponsor this listing (a single payment of $72) then we can provide a link to your business on this page and a shout-out at each of our meetups during the six month period.
We are also looking for a food sponsor - we will need two or three pizzas and sodas and water for each meetup. Estimated cost commitment would be about $50 - $100 per meetup. Until we find a sponsor we will depend upon optional individual contributions and serve what we can. Again - your sponsorship will get a link on each meetup announcement and a shout-out at the meetup.
