Wine Tasting and Fire Pit

Very low key and casual. We'll have a fire pit and outside lighting. Bring a bottle of a TASTY MID-PRICE WINE (not 3-buck-chuck, as they raised the price, I hear) for wine tasting. We'll try 1 oz sips, find our favorites, and then have some wine and relax. Eat dinner ahead of time, but if a few people can bring a small plate of FiNGER FOODS to share between sips, that would be great.

What an excellent idea. Great fun. Next time I'll do more research on my wine before I present it.

no, we're going to encourage blankets for arms and see if our heaters will work.

A couple people wanted suggestions for wines. We have no idea!!!! This is why we are doing the tasting so we don't waste money trying different ones before finding a good one. With the party, we'll try several and find ones we like.

No problem if you are late. Just use the side gate since we can't hear the door from outside. Also, YES, we'll have cider for the no-wine people!

We'll start at 6:15 and go from whites to reds. Bring a nice wine $18-$50 as our goal is to taste good wines we might want to buy for company or give as gifts! (The Halloween party was the "anytime wine" event). Have a blanket for your arms since we'll be outside at the fire pit. You can bring a "between wine" snack if you'd like, but we'll have meatballs, cheese, and grapes to compliment different wines. Oh, and of course there will be chocolate candies from the Halloween party! haha If you can't decide what to bring, bring a nicer wine and forget the snack! See you tonight!

Some one asked what "mid-priced" means. Well, it's usually over $18 and less than $50. HOWEVER, the price is not indicative of the taste. We just want people to get a taste of some different wines so if you do go out and buy a $25 bottle, you are not wasting your money!!!! Bill and I are going to bring a $19 and a $36 wine. How's that?

Has anyone mentioned to you that you possess the paitience of a saint? What is mid price?? Well--hmm--lemme see--I guess it would be somewhere between $1 and $5,000,000. Mebbe there are numbers that fit somewhere in the---IDK---middle??? xxoocf

No, it's a good question. We just want to taste and get some ideas. Ever try a terrible wine and regret ordering it? This should give everyone ideas for good wines!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
