Ballroom Dancing to Live Music in Vancouver!!!!

Glenn Tadina's Swing Street Band is a top-notch world class band!

Yes, we danced all night, but to sit and listen and watch the fun is a perfect choice too!!
Generally 90 dancers come out and approximately 25 students take the lesson to continue their dance craft on the beautiful polished Clark County Dance floor each month.

We highly recommend that you come out for the 7pm lesson!
Cha Cha is the lesson this month  Get some Cha Cha steps AND connect with other folks for dancing after the Big Band starts playing.

Enjoy the music and the social aspect of the evening!

Lesson $5. Dance $10.

Check out Photo Album 'Clark County Dance Center' to see the dancers!

More Re Getting Dance Partners: Be sure to attend the always good lesson by Joseph & Juliann. In the lesson you rotate and get connected by name with many other dance partners. That way it's much easier for you to ask each other to dance once the Glen Tadina band gets going. Also the first dance after the lesson is the same kind of dance that you just had in the lesson. Plus it's easy to smile at one of other folks from the dance lesson and ask them to practice those new steps to the big band sounds.

Re: partnering: Sure there are some couples who are (sadly) joined at the hip and miss out on dancing with others. But most folks at the monthly Clark Cty Dance Center event are really friendly and reach out. SUGGESTION FOR GALS: Don't sit and wait!! Go ask the dancer guys to dance with you. Even if you think they are better dancers, most of them will be happy to help you get better. If they do, it means more good follows for them to dance with next time.

This once a month (2nd Friday) dance is one of the best. Great for getting to practice most of the different ballroom dances. Forgiving, sympathetic, even empathic dance partners. Add a quality LIVE big band play rich music from the Swing Era for dancers on a fine dance floor and you know you've come home as a dancer.

What is the type of dance for the lesson this month?

How many people usually come to this and are typically very social? As in, if I come alone will I find people to dance with, or do people tend to couple-up a lot?

Thanks for the response! Sounds great! I'm assuming that because you used to teach for Arthur Murray, everyone dances American style? Hopefully I have a car on Friday, looking forward to this!

Yes, American style. Joseph used to teach for Arthur Murray.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
