Open Social Event: Oregon Ridge Beach Day for Adults & Family & Friends

  • August 18, 2012 · 1:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Join us for an August day of swimming and sun at Oregon Ridge Beach at the Oregon Ridge Nature Center in Cockeysville from 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM. This event is an open social event. Family and friends are invited.

There is a fee to enter the beach area. Individuals are responsible for their own entrance tickets. Please check the websites below for admission tickets, policies, and beach rules.

NOTE: Rain or inclement weather cancels and in the case of inclement weather the event will not be rescheduled. A notice will be sent via Meet-Up at 12:00 PM notifying all meet-up members (RSVP-ed or not) if the event is being canceled due to weather. Parking is tight on weekends so leave ample time.

We are a tolerant group and we are striving to remove barriers to participation. If you need an aide or an assistant to facilitate your participation in this event, you are welcome to join us - but you are responsible for your own support arrangements. Please email Zosia Zaks at [masked] if you have any questions or need support referrals. Remember, an adult on the autism spectrum should have his or her own Meet-up profile - aides, assistants, and family members are his or her guests.

More information about the beach:

Note: the beach has no concession stand in operation this year. Please bring your own food, snacks, and water. There is a vending machine with some drinks and snack food but it doesn't always work properly.

Meet-up members may bring up to two guests.

Again, all individuals are responsible for their own entrance fees or any other related costs.

Please see the "pages" section of the Meet-up site for complete group details and policies or email the organizer Zosia Zaks at [masked] if you have any questions.

Hope to see you there!
