I'm also in Jeff's Beltway Atheists group, and because I don't have time to deal with a mass of emails everyday, I use the daily digest option. that group's messages are much more active than this one's, using it more like a message board, which I think is often good for fostering discussion, I just don't have time for it.
I'm not really sure why so much has sparked up here recently, although from what I saw, it looked like people were quick to attack Jeff and question his motives when really all he was doing was sharing information about events relevant to this group.
Aren't we all here for the same reason, and shouldn't we all just get along? Debate about issues is a great thing. Quibbling over numbers of emails and whether an infrequent poster is a troll seem like a waste of time.

Here you will find all of your meetups listed.
