Federal law trumps state law. If the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional, it can’t be enforced, and is the equivalent of useless junk DNA in the law. There’s lots of stuff like that in various state laws, it’s just still there because going through the process of passing an amendment to remove it is a waste of time (and will just rile up people for no reason).
