  • Nov 11, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • at Studio Nina Amaya

One of the best ways to gain a deeper understanding of bellydance is to learn the rhythms of the Middle East. Put those rhythms into your own body and understanding by playing them on a hand drum. Daveed will start at the beginning of technique and knowledge and move at the pace of the dancers who sign up!

Daveed is the percussionist for the band Turku, and his website is

An hour and a half for $20. Send a check to Nina Amaya, 1020 Regester Ave. Baltimore Md 21239, or $21 PayPal. Or pay at the door.

Bring a Dumbek if possible, a djembe if that's what you have, or any goblet drum. To borrow a drum from Daveed, send an email to Nina at ninadances@gmail with BorrowDrum in the subject line. There are three to borrow.
