Introduction
Hi, I'm Daveed, percussionist for the Eurasian folk ensemble, Turku. Additionally, as a teaching artist, I use music to support teaching core subjects in schools, such as reading writing, math, etc. However, my favorite is to drum for bellydance.
What are your favorite bellydance styles and performers?
Tribal Fusion...Zafira, Unmata, Blue Lotus, Baraka Mundi, Ultra Gypsy, Kassar, to name a few. Cabaret...Aziza, Katia (Albq NM), Bozenka, Asha (Albq NM), Eva Cernak, Dunya, Mahsati Janan, Jehan, to also name a few.
