I'd like to learn about Lean Startup methods and how to grow my business. I can contribute my 14 years of technical engineering experience to help other startups design and build hardware products cost effectively.
I work in new product development, designing prototypes and products for clients in the medical device, industrial, and consumer electronics industries. My expertise is designing and building electromechanical prototypes and devices using a variety of fabrication techniques, such as injection molded, machined, or rapid prototyping.
I'm not familiar with the term Lean Startup, but product development is all about creating a design and iterating on it as a learning technique. I use software and calculations to design components so I can make and alter design decisions quickly (read: inexpensively) before building prototypes. Likewise, I can build a cheap and dirty prototype to test an idea before spending a lot of time perfecting a design on the computer.
I'm a mechanical design engineer and own a product development company to help small to medium-sized companies turn ideas into prototypes and prototypes into commercial products.
