Let's check out Jah Works in Patterson Park

Bring a blanket or lawn chair, pack a picnic basket or fill a cooler with wine or beer, and enjoy the muisc and view from the Peace Pagoda in Patterson Park. Known for their high energy, party style atmosphere Jah Works’ live shows are favorites among reggae fanatics as well as non-reggae listeners. A heavy dose of drum and bass combined with sweet melodies, vocal harmony and catchy hooks make this band one of the most popular groups in the region.

Sorry some of you couldn't find us and that I wasn't checking my email. ..my bad. I got there a half hour before the show and planted a pretty prominent sign (the only sign) center stage, top of the hill, in front of the food vendor. If we meetup again there again, I'll try to be more specific about the location. ...but honestly the sign was hard to miss. Same deal for tomorrow night at the Canton Waterfront....I'll be there early, parked near the center of the stage (best acoustics there), not too close to the stage, but not way in the back, and with the same sign. I'll also be sure to check my email for those having trouble finding us.

Just in case you didn't get the email I just sent, I'm gonna try to get there early, around 6 pm. I've made a crude "JAZZ & BLUES MEETUP" sign that I'll display next to where I'm sitting, which will probably be near the middle of the spectator space (the acoustics are best there).

I'll also be wearing my faded orange Sarasota Jazz Clup ballcap.

Looking forward to tonight's music and enjoying it with you all this evening.

I might to Bertha's too. Depends on if my daughter is out of the hospital and is with me. She doesn't like Jazz that much.

Oops, I just saw that my local community organization is having an ice-cream social the same night! I LOVE Jah Works, hate to miss this show. Looking forward to meeting other jazz fans at Baltimore jazz shows. I see you have already discovered Bertha's on Thursday nights and Cat's Eye on Monday nights. Bertha's also has jazz on Tuesday nights, with Paul Wingo on guitar. Joe Squared in Station North sometimes has jazz. An die Musik regularly has jazz concerts (as well as classical and world music). I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
