Hello lovely BOP volunteers! We miss you and we hope you've been doing well this winter season. Many of you will be happy to know that spring is still scheduled to arrive a couple of months from now and there are things we need to do to prepare for it.
We have over a hundred fruit trees coming in this March. This season the trees will be bare root, meaning they will be more fragile if exposed. One of the best ways to deal with that is to build a bare root bin, which is precisely why we are having a bare root bin building day at the TreeBaltimore Nursery. TreeBaltimore will be kind enough to provide the tools and supplies. Join us! There's no better way to beat cabin fever than building a home for baby trees. We need the peoplepower to make this happen!
Please call me at[masked] with any questions. This event is going down rain or shine. Hope to see you there!
Directions: We are meeting at the City Forestry Offices and then heading over to the nursery. If you entering Druid Hill Park from the east, continue on East Dr till you get to Red Rd and make a right. You will arrive at a fork, where you will turn left onto Shop Rd. Shortly after turning on Shop Rd, you will get to the parking lot where we will park. The Forestry Offices are in the building on the right as you come in.
