Bake Almond Flour Cookies

  • Jun 2, 2014 · 7:30 PM
  • Ben's House

Laura June Anderson, a clinical intern in nutrition, will be guiding us in baking almond flour cookies for us to eat and also to give out at our June 8th summer kick off event. While the cookies are baking, we will sample other fruit and nut related tasty treats and discuss different ways to cook and process your harvest.

The door will be open and you can come on up to the third floor. It should make for a lovely evening with other BOPers. See you there!

The cookies (and ice cream and key lime pie) were delicious.

Many of the folks in this group are new -- harvests are our best events, but we love folks helping us with the care of fruit trees as well. June 8 will be a great way to learn more about the BOP and meet some of the stalwart volunteers. Bringing work gloves to protect your hands, and a drink to keep hydrated is always good. Perhaps long pants and sleeves in case there is poison ivy when working at Genesee Orchard. The work is invigorating and fun! Happy to answer any specific questions.
