Baltimore, MD --- On Saturday April 27th, The University of Baltimore Spotlight Program is excited to present Robert Hitz, Baltimore’s virtuoso improvisational pianist latest innovative approach to open the door of intuition and imagination. Using projections from Jessica Damen and Maxine Taylor’s art as a springboard, Kimberly Lynn, University of Baltimore host and moderator will lead the audience’s perceptions and observations of their art, which Hitz will then translate into responsive musical pieces. The dynamic interplay between art, discussion and improvisational music will certainly create a new type of concert experience for the audience. At the Wright Theater, UB Student Center at 8pm.

Robert Hitz, Baltimore’s Intuitive Improvisational Pianist received BM and MM degrees respectively from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore and Syracuse University in New York. Known as a “21st Century Romantic” Robert’s Award winning musical compositions express the eternal melodies of the musical masters combined with his own spiritually inspired improvisations. Jessica Damen, dubbed “the Lewis Carroll” of Baltimore” by renowned artist Grace Hartigan, is known for creating “magical realist” oils and expressive ink brush paintings. Maxine Taylor, mixed media abstract paintings capture the essence of a particular place/space. Her large-scale mixed media abstractions focus on lines, shapes and their relationship to movement.
