Now that the weather is about to get warmer, many runners begin to turn their attention to the Spring racing season. Join members of the Baltimore Road Runners Club (BBRC) to learn how to improve your endurance, increase your speed and gain confidence as you prepare for your upcoming races. The BRRC Beginner Running Program is designed to safely guide beginning runners and walkers through an organized training schedule with the goal of completing a 5K race at the conclusion of the program. Under the leadership of experienced coaches, runners and walkers will be introduced to topics such as proper running techniques, pacing, developing a race strategy, clothing needs, hydration, stretching, etc. A 10 week schedule will be provided to all participants. The group will meet twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for 10 weeks (April 9th to June 16th). Target races include the BRRC Women's Distance Festival on May 19th and the BRRC Grand Prix Series 5K on June 16th.
There is no cost to this program, but Baltimore Road Runner Club membership is required. Applications can be found at http://brrc.com/club/BRRCMembershipApp.pdf
