The Speculative Fiction Writing and Book Circle is a group meant for those who write and read fiction.

Mind you, we are open to all types of writing, including non-fiction and poetry--there will be meetups to go to poetry readings, and poetry critique groups, for example.

But the primary focus of this group is on speculative fiction, particularly science fiction and fantasy. We will be meeting at the Baltimore Science Fiction Society on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month to read and critique our respective written works; and on the 4th Saturday of each month we'll be analyzing a previously designated science fiction or fantasy novel.

The writing and book circles are relaxed but organized environments of fellow writers and readers, where personal insults or comments are not accepted.

Feel free to come by even if you do not have work to be analyzed. We're open to all with an interest in spec fiction.
