The Baltimore Folk Music Society was founded in 1975 as a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to teaching, preserving, and promoting the music, dance, and traditions of the American people. We are supported mainly through membership dues, with some additional income from donations and grants. Donations are tax-deductible.
The Meet-up group was formed to inform non-members of the events the BFMS sponsors. You can find more information at the Society's website: www.bfms.org
