Hitchcock's Dial "M" for Murder (in 3-D) [See Details for Showtime Options]

Jealous husband Ray Milland plots to do away with his rich wife, Grace Kelly, for her past infidelity with mystery writer Robert Cummings, fearing that she will ultimately leave him and take her money with her. Having devised the perfect murder scheme, invented an ironclad alibi and blackmailed shady schoolmate Anthony Dawson into doing the deed for him, a shocked Milland has to scramble to cover his tracks after the crafty Kelly makes an amazing escape. Hitchcock's adaptation of Frederick Knott's hit play eschews the typical "opening up" of movie adaptations, instead keeping the action confined to Kelly and Milland's London flat, to clever, claustrophobic effect." -- AFI's summary

Below are the possible showtimes.  If you are interested at all, please RSVP and add a comment with your preferred showtime (there are several weekend showings).  I've scheduled a Sunday showing (our default day) but bolded my preference (not only is it cheaper, but it includes a faculty-run Q&A/lecture after the film).  I can coordinate a carpool.

From AFI's site (where advanced tickets can be purchased online)
Fri, Nov 8, 7:00;
Sat, Nov 9, 11:00 a.m., 7:00;

    Welcome aboard, Melanie. Great theater, the AFI. Good movie, Dial M. Better than both, of course, is a daughter's musical performance. Sorry you won't be able to make it. I hope you join us at one of the more local films and we can all discuss broadening our venues.

    I love the AFI and love Hitchcock too! I don't think I can make Sunday the 10th because my daughter is in a musical and I think she has a show that day, but this is exactly the kind of film I'd like to meet up with some people to see!

    Not sure if I can go (although weekend would be preferable if I can make it), but I've seen the movie in 3D on the big screen and would highly recommend the drive down to AFI Silver Spring.

    As Dave mentioned in his email, it's a great theater and location, and is pretty easy to get to from Baltimore. (I think they've got free parking on nights and weekends.)
