If it has to be within city limits, then Ze Mean Bean cafe on Fleet st. If it can be within the general area, Cape Henlopen State Park (Lewes, DE). I know it's 2.5 hours away, but it is fantasmatical. Husband and I got married there last year and it was awesome.
Kind of sideways. There's certainly a lot to do around here, but I haven't made a lot of longlasting friends in the area. I also grew up in the middle of nowhere, but there's something to be said for living in the middle of nowhere. I miss the night sky, the ability to let my cats go outside, and the security I feel at night despite the doors being unlocked. I do love that I'm closer to the beach (I was made for the seaside) and so close to everything else that needs to be explored.
