Introductions CD of the Month Candle Light Tips Color of Light Assignment Urban So you Agreed to PhotoGraph a Wedding: Now What: Q & A April Assignment
“ This was a really great meetup experience. I enjoyed hearing everyone's perspectives (although with so many people I still was a "nervous" about calling out) and enjoyed seeing everyone's images. I hope that their is more time for tips and Q&A in the future.
I have one suggestion... If everyone puts their one assignment shot up in one flickr folder, the computer hooked up to the projector could use the app Cool Iris (it's free!) to quickly see and expand each image in the set. It is a really great way to move between pictures. (http://www.coolir...) This would really reduce the time going back and forth from pic to pic. ”
“ I think the venue is too small for 40 some people, and the leaders need to be ready to start at 8pm sharp, with projector and screen. Every week the screen is late.
I also think there should be a majority vote each month as to what people want to do the following month. Some of the talk seems to be uninteresting to the majority. The critiquing needs to be two or three images per person, and there needs to be a timer for each image so we get it all done, or perhaps see if the participants would prefer that only the 4-5 professionals critique the images so maybe they learn more. ”
“ It's great to see the group growing. We may be outgrowing the current location and meeting format. We need to encourage the use of Flickr for our critiques. How about starting a 1-2-3 group where you have to make constructive criticism of the two pictures posted just before yours and view three others in the pool? ”
