The entrance fee to the historic area of the park is $7.00 for adults 16 years of age and older; children 15 and younger are free. This fee provides the visitor with a 7-day entrance
permit to Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine.  You must keep your entrance receipt to re-enter the park in the 7-day time period.

Photo Challenge:
The challenge for the photo walk is to look for images that will look great in black & white (or sepia). With the volunteers dressed in replica clothing, drills, the fort, and artillery demonstrations, there should be plenty of opportunities for great black & white images!!! After the photo walk, please upload only black & white images for this event to BMP website.

For those who don't do post processing of their images (Photoshop, Lightroom, Aperture, Elements, Picasa, Gimp, etc), just about all digital cameras have the ability to shoot in black & white from a menu in your camera. If you're not sure how to do it, check your manuals, the web, or post a question on the message board.

P.S. There is also a great view of the Baltimore City / Harbor from Fort Mchenry...bring your tripods!

Park event for the day:
Fort McHenry Guard - Defenders Return to the Fort

presentations by the Fort McHenry Guard. Dressed in replica clothing of the early Nineteenth Century, the Guard conducts drills, barracks activities, artillery and musket firing
demonstrations, civilian activities, and children’s programs.

Alright....Mother nature has been kind to those who are going...it's not quite as hot as yesterday. But since its still pretty hot, please remember to wear loose fitting clothes, bring plenty of water, sunblock, etc. If you have any health issues that could surface due to the heat, please use due diligence in deciding whether or not to participate in the Photo walk. See you there!!

Yeah, that is pretty hot. I'm ok with it (lived in Florida for years) but it might be kinda miserable.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
