With Purim coming up at the end of the month I thought it would be nice to bake some hamantaschen* to celebrate. Then I thought why bake alone when it's more fun with others. So here is my proposal. Anyone who wants to join, can. Bring your own filling, whatever your favorite is. We make the dough as a group, fill the cookies as desired and while we wait for them to bake we play a few board games to pass the time. Then we get to nosh on some hamantasch. Simple, fun and a great way to spend the afternoon.
>> Location is my home (Shira's) and the address will be sent a couple days before the meetup to those who RSVP yes.
Bring your own fillings ideas:
- your favorite jam/jelly
- your favorite candy
- use your imagination :)
Don't forget to bring your favorite board game to play while the cookies bake!
No baking experience needed, just the desire to eat cookies and play board games.
*For those who don't know what hamantaschen are it's a triangle shape pastry with a filling. They represent the hat that Haman villain of the Purim story.
