Creative Post Processing & Photomanipulation Workshop - Beginner

  • Nov 23, 2013 · 9:30 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

IMPORTANT: RSVPing here is NOT equal to a confirmed seat. Once you have made the payment and emailed me the details you will receive a reply confirming your seat. Email, cost and payment details at the end of the post.

I will be going over various techniques on a large screen TV in an informal setting as I find this works best with small groups especially when covering topics like Photoshop.

I prefer you don't try and follow in parallel on your laptop. This is because you lose focus trying to keep up unless you are an expert at phoshop, are unable to pay proper attention to what I'm covering and/or end up disrupting the class for others.

Videos of the techniques covered will be shared at the end of the class so you can practice later as much as you like so you should bring a USB drive or laptop to copy the videos.

Taught by: Vineet Radhakrishnan

About the workshop:

We will explore dodging & burning to add dramatic shadows and highlights to portraits.

We will cover how different artistic styles can help create mood

We will go over the basics of photomanipulations - how to cut out objects from the background, how to merge different objects seamlessly (colour, perspective, focus, etc), basics of simulating light directions and shadows to add authenticity to your collage.

Photoshop actions, use of brushes and some more advanced photoshop techniques will be briefly covered to give the student a starting point to continue learning once he or she has mastered to contents of this workshop

We will also cover more general image improvement techniques: to recover under exposed or over exposed images, using cloning, selecting and masking tools to fix distracting elements in images, colour correction and basic levels and curve adjustments.
