Welcome. This Meet Up is for anyone interested in Bangladesh, the people, eating authentic food and its sports and culture. What to expect, to do, to eat or go via Meet Ups in London (and if this is popular than around the UK)..but let's see eh!

Open to women and men of all ages and backgrounds.

Meet Up organiser Yasmin C, is a veteran lover of all things Bangladeshi (having visited countless times and lived there thanks to her Bangladeshi parents taking her along) even though she was born and bred in South London. So much so, she is starting her own travel company to Bangladesh and due to constantly being told nobody would visit because it so unknown as a destination, this Meetup is aimed at encouraging people to find out more about this stunning secret country.

Want to know more? Visit

If you want to know more, had a great time already in Bangladesh and want to share your stories, collect tips or need some know how before you go, then joining this Meetup Bangla Food & Travel could be handy.

This Meetup will also cover cooking or simply eating authentic Bangladeshi cuisine with some emphasis on Sylheti food. Shutki (dried fish), satkora, khattas (sour fish curries), and home made sweets (kheer, shemai, finni) and snacks such as shingora, aloo chop, kuftas etc. I am trying to collect and make authentic Bangladeshi recipes so if you enjoy eating or making Bangla food, join this meet up. Yummmmm.......

We are well aware that the Bangla Food & Travel Meet Up will be pretty niche so this is where all the other stuff comes in.

From traditional sports (Kabbadi, caramboard) to watching Bangladesh sports team in action - any excuse for a meet up, then we will take it.

Culture will also look at the Bengali inspired films, poetry and music.
