This meetup will be held on MONDAY, 19.30h-21.30h
Meta Model - How to Loosening Limiting Beliefs and Clarifying Imprecise Language Both with Others and Yourself
Have you ever felt stuck, not knowing what to say or how to help a friend in a challenging situation?
In this practice we will look at Meta Model. A Model of language derived from Virginia Satir to to help question limiting beliefs and clarify any imprecise language.
This is one of the first things we learn about in NLP, a powerful set of responses to use in daily conversations.
Quite often when we are in a challenging situation we focus on the problem talking about the situation by deleting, distorting and generalising on an unconscious level. We think 'that's just the way the world or that situation is'.
With Meta Modal language responses we can help both ourselves and others to clarify what really is going on, helping us to reframe, gain more understanding and help find a solution.
After an introduction to the Meta Model theory we will work in groups, using Meta Model responses to gain a better understanding on any chosen situation you wish to work on.
NLP is all about practice and experiencing exercises first hand...whilst you may learn a lot from a lecture or book, its through the practice where the real magic happens. Come and experience it for yourself!
The session will last for 2 hours (due to popular demand we have extended the time!) and will follow this structure:
