Barefoot Hikers Hawaii started in 2008 with a dumb luck trip on a rugged trail in swimtrunks and flippas. Lost my shoes, hurt my feet and decided to help others by exploring and documenting all the trails. I was the first and only person who had to go barefoot to enjoy Hawaii. We stick with the trend today by offering beginner to intermediate hikes to all who love the sense of adventure and aren't willing to die for it on dangerous cliffs, rivers, and ravines.
Safety First! Adventure Always!

Note: There isn't room on our trip for anyone using illegal drugs or alcohol on Hawaii trails. We need people attentive as sometimes there are dangers. Pakalolo/Spice is not allowed.
Go Pro headcams, small digitial cameras and DSLRs are often brought on hikes. By attending a Meetup.com/BarefootHikers event, you give your consent to have your picture taken and used on video/films for the express purpose of entertainment and for the enjoyment of memories. You give permission to have your photos used on this webpage, Facebook page /BarefootHikers and members' personal profiles. We respect the right to not want a photo or picture taken.
Disclaimer: Hikers are not liable for any damages to personal property or personal well-being throughout the events scheduled. Barefoot Hikers do not hike barefooted, merely use the name to explain a carefree Hawaii social hiking group. Hiking barefoot is a dangerous choice with the infectious leptospirosis able to inflict internal damages with little warning if someone comes into contact. It is the sole responsibility of the hiker(s) involved to ensure their safety in determining risk assessments and decisions which could yield negative results. By joining this group, attending events, commenting on posts, or on any trails in Hawaii you are agreeing to waive liability from Barefoot Hikers and any of its hikers either directly or indirectly. Now lets have fun!
